Premier League Predictions Match Day 16

A bonus predictions article this week as we have some mid week Premier League games on Tuesday and Wednesday. My predictions for last weekend were way off but I did get Chelsea’s result right as they solidified their position as league leaders. Before we go on a follow on twitter would not go amiss. You can follow me here: or @cameroneyles. Anyway enough self promotion and on with the predictions!

Bournemouth v Leicester City

Bournemouth lost to Burnley last time out and this time last week I would’ve said that a home tie against Leicester would be an easy three points for Bournemouth but the champions finally got their act together and smashed Man City over the weekend. Jamie Vardy is back and he’s having a party in Bournemouth on Tuesday. Leicester to win.

Prediction: 1-2

Everton v Arsenal

The Toffees are in really bad form at the moment and were really bad against Watford on the weekend. Arsenal seem to be making a legitimate title challenge this year, although how long it lasts is hard to tell as the gunners have a habit of screwing things up. They should get the win here though.

Prediction: 0-2

Middlesbrough v Liverpool

Boro really were poor against Saints and showed just how much they missed Gaston Ramirez and Alvaro Negredo. Liverpool have stuttered themselves in recent weeks having not won their last two thanks to defensive errors. Liverpool should win here but it’ll be tight.

Prediction: 1-2

Sunderland v Chelsea

I can only see another away win here I’m afraid. Sunderland were poor last time out against Swansea while Chelsea have now recorded 9 straight victories and without the trouble of European football look a good bet for the title. Chelsea should win here.

Prediction: 0-1

West Ham United v Burnley

West Ham got a good result at the weekend against Liverpool but this game is really crunch time for the Hammers. They have to win this game and I think they will, mainly due to Burnley’s abysmal record on the road.

Prediction: 2-0

Crystal Palace v Manchester United

Rather oddly for United playing the best player in Germany last year has actually improved their team. I’m not quite sure what Mourinho was playing at earlier in the season but things might finally be clicking at United. Palace have improved slightly in recent weeks but they do not have enough to win this one.

Prediction: 1-2

Manchester City v Watford

City were really poor against Leicester. The three at the back system just is not working and chopping and changing so often, with players constantly playing out of position has not helped matters. Watford have looked good recently so I’m going to back them to get something out of this match.

Prediction: 2-2

Stoke City v Southampton

Stoke were beaten by Arsenal last time out but look like they will be solidly mid-table again this season. Southampton will be in a similar position but it will be tough for them travelling to Stoke on a wet and windy Tuesday night. Clichés aside I reckon this will be a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Tottenham v Hull City

Despite Spurs lacklustre performance against United at the weekend they’ve got to win this this one. It’s Hull and really they’re not good enough to beat Spurs, especially away from home.

Prediction: 3-0

West Brom v Swansea

The Swans got a much needed win against Sunderland on the weekend but West Brom are actually looking pretty good this season, even from an attacking point of view. The Baggies will be looking for three points here.

Prediction: 2-0

Right that’s not all for this week friends as I’ll be back predicting the weekend’s fixtures on Thursday. Until then feel free to leave a comment and thanks for reading.
