Premier League Predictions Match Day 22

While the eyes of the footballing world may well be on transfers at the moment its important to remember that there are actually some games coming up this weekend that are probably worth talking about. So before we go on a follow on twitter @cameroneyles and a visit to the One Game at a Time homepage HERE would be much appreciated. Anyway on with the predicting.

Liverpool v Swansea City

It has been a real baptism of fire for new Swansea boss Paul Clement and I do not see his task getting any easier here. Liverpool did not play that well at Old Trafford but still got a point and I’m sure they will build on that here.

Prediction: 4-1

Bournemouth v Watford

Both teams are not on the best of runs at the moment and could do with a victory here to turn things around. I’m finding it hard to chose between the two sides so I’ll go with a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Crystal Palace v Everton

Big Sam has really not got things going at Palace yet and I do not see their fortunes changing on Saturday. Everton were magnificent against Manchester City last weekend and Ronald Koeman’s gamble on playing youth seems to have paid off. I think it’ll be a narrow Everton win.

Prediction: 0-1

Middlesbrough v West Ham

I will be in person for this game and am looking forward to the 0-0 snore fest that usually happens in a Middlesbrough game. I believe Boro are good enough to beat the Hammers but I do not want to jinx it so I’ll go for a bore draw.

Prediction: 0-0

Stoke City v Manchester United

Stoke have been doing ok this season but I don’t think they have it in them to break United’s unbeaten run, which is now the longest in Europe’s top 5 leagues thanks to Real Madrid’s defeat the other day. United to win here.

Prediction: 1-3

West Brom v Sunderland

The Baggies are having a good season while Sunderland are not. The Black Cats need to pick up points wherever they can but The Hawthorns is a stereotypical ‘tough place to go’ especially when playing a Tony Pulis side. I’m backing West Brom here.

Prediction: 2-1

Manchester City v Tottenham

City were awful last weekend and their defensive and goal keeping issues could seriously hamper their chances of even making it into the Champions League places. Spurs, by contrast, look brilliant at the moment. Usually in these big games I go for a conservative 1-1 draw but you have to back Spurs here.

Prediction: 0-2

Southampton v Leicester City

Saints are on a bit of a losing streak and usually the last thing you want is the Premier League Champions coming to town. Luckily for them Leicester are horrendous on the road this season and I think the Saints’ luck will change in this match.

Prediction: 1-0

Arsenal v Burnley

This is a must win for the Gunners, they have to beat Burnley at home. The Clarets record away from home is dreadful and Arsenal just have to win this one otherwise there will be even more backlash than usual from their fans.

Prediction: 2-0

Chelsea v Hull

Despite the whole Diego Costa debacle the Blues still find themselves with breathing space at the top of the table. I feel bad for Hull, they look set to lose Jake Livermore and if Robert Snodgrass leaves as well they are in deep, deep trouble. I don’t see things getting any better for them here either I’m afraid.

Prediction: 3-0

Right that’s all the predicting done for now although there is a midweek round of games so I’ll be back predicting then. In the meantime feel free to leave a comment and thanks for reading.
