Premier League Predictions Match Day 24

The games are coming thick and fast as following on from the midweek fixtures we have a fresh batch of matches to predict this weekend. Chelsea are very much in the driver’s seat when it comes to the title race but its incredibly tight down the other end of the table. Before we go on a follow on twitter @cameroneyles and a visit to the One Game at a Time homepage HERE would be great. Anyway on with the predicting.

Chelsea v Arsenal

Arsenal very much ‘did an Arsenal’ against Watford on Tuesday as they lost a game they should really not have had any trouble winning. Had the Gunners won they would have only been six points back from Chelsea who picked up a draw versus Liverpool. Its clearer than ever that Arsenal are too mentally weak to win the title and indeed this match.

Prediction: 1-0

Crystal Palace v Sunderland

This is a huge match down the bottom of the table as Big Sam is paid a visit by his former club. Palace finally got a win last time around and have a squad that should be up around mid table, not in a relegation battle. Sunderland managed to get a draw against Spurs but I still do not see them staying up.

Prediction: 2-1

Everton v Bournemouth

It feels almost inevitable that Everton will finish seventh this season, but they have had a good transfer window and should be gearing themselves up for a crack at the top six next season. Calum Wilson has been injured again for The Cherries, which is a great shame as he’s a talented player. I expect an Everton win here.

Prediction: 2-0

Hull City v Liverpool

Hull played well against United but with their current squad its still difficult to foresee them staying up. Liverpool are in a terrible run of form but I feel as though they are a due a win at some point and I reckon that’ll be here.

Prediction: 1-3

Southampton v West Ham

Fonte returns to his old club right away as West Ham look to rebound to an abysmal 4-0 thrashing by Man City. Southampton too could do with a result as they have slipped down the table somewhat. I’m struggling to pick between the two sides so I’ll go for a draw.

Prediction: 1-1

Watford v Burnley

Another game that’s tough to call as both teams are well matched however Burnley are just horrendous away from home and I think Watford will be buoyed by their performance against Arsenal.

Prediction: 1-0

West Brom v Stoke

Its the Tony Pulis derby. Both teams find themselves in the safety of mid table and both teams will probably be looking to see if they can push Everton to that 7th places. Given that this is the Pulis derby I think its only right if its a bore draw.

Prediction: 0-0

Tottenham v Middlesbrough

I have to be honest I’m fearful for the boys from Boro. We didn’t add the creativity we so desperately needed in January so we are going to have to rely on the current crop getting their act together. Spurs are a great side and should be winning this home tie no problem.

Prediction: 2-0

Manchester City v Swansea City

Pep might have found himself a messiah in the form of Gabriel Jesus. Terrible religious jokes aside City have to be winning this match if they have any ambitions of even pushing Chelsea for the title. The Swans have been much improved under Paul Clement but will struggle to win here, although given their victory over Liverpool an upset is possible.

Prediction: 3-1

Leicester City v Manchester United

The Foxes are in deep, deep trouble and their heroics last season almost feel as though they took place in an alternate dimension. I can’t see Leicester getting anything here, United are on a long unbeaten run in the Premier League and should continue it here.

Prediction: 0-2

Right that’s all for now and if you feel my predictions are wildly inaccurate feel free to leave a comment below. As always thanks for reading.
